Insect feeding traces
Insects leave characteristic marks on the plants they feed on: tunnels bored into wood, mines between the leaf surfaces, holes and scraped patches. This sub-collection brings together twelve teaching sets of wood and plant parts showing such feeding traces, partly together with the insects that caused them.
The sets were used in school teaching and reached the Herbarium Bernense as a donation by Ursula Käser from the collection of the Campus Muristalden.
